Suzanne Zilber, Ph.D. completed her bachelor's degree in
psychology at Duke University, and completed her doctorate in
Counseling Psychology at the Ohio State University.

Licensed in Iowa since 1991, she provided counseling for
Iowa State students and consultation to faculty and staff for
over 13 years. She opened Catalyst Counseling in 2005. Her work is grounded in a
sophisticated awareness of multicultural and gender issues.

Dr. Zilber has completed a post-doctoral certificate in
Beck's Cognitive Therapy. In 2001, she completed Level 2 training in the
trauma treatment EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing).
In 2015, she became Certified in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy after completing a 5 and a half year training process. Sensorimotor Psychotherapy is a body-based talk therapy to treat trauma and unmet needs from difficult childhoods.

Dr. Zilber is a member of the American Psychological Association, the
Iowa Psychological Association, the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp), and EMDRIA.
